It really rocks, by the way, but it's just not the same tone at TV levels.
#FENDER FUSE MONO FRAMEWORK FULL#
You only get the heavy power tube saturation if you crank it at full power. The 1watt mode didn't really do anything for me, I don't think it's true attenuation but rather relying solely on the pre-amp section.
That's not a bad thing, just not what I'm looking for. I probably prefer an American sound and I'd say this amp is more British voiced. I'm not crazy about the clean tone and the reverb is just OK. I have the rocker 32 and I’m still thinking of picking up a monoprice ?♂️įor starters, the mirrored control panel is hard to read. Sorry if it’s not the answer you wanted, but it’s the answer I’m giving as the current owner of no less than 10 tube amps, one of which you asked about. Most beginners don’t have a large pedal collection with which to make use of the rocker, and even if you did, I’d wager they would still sound good on the mono for a fraction of the price. Is the mono a better bang for your buck value than the rocker? Absolutely.
Is the mono the best sounding amp you can get for the price new? It’s certainly in the ballpark. Neither is the rocker without a ton of pedals to put in front of it.
Is the mono the best sounding amp in the world? No. Whereas the you will be hard pressed to find another tube combo new or used for the price of the monoprice. The amp sounds great, but on its own you can find better for the price. Like, it’s meant for people who have hundreds or thousands of dollars invested in pedals and want a completely neutral platform on which to run them. Because it’s a pedal platform for gear nerds.
